Cutly privacy policy

Effective date: 4 November 2025 — We’re transparent about how Cutly handles information and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Cutly is owned and operated by Bac Tech LLC (“Cutly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We build premium wellness software that helps people understand nutrition and stay on track.

2. Information we collect

  • Camera & photos. When you capture or import a label, the image is processed on your device to read calories, protein, servings, and serving size. We do not copy or store the image unless you choose to share it.
  • Manual entries. Numbers you type remain on your device.
  • App diagnostics (optional). If iOS generates anonymous crash logs, you may opt to share them with us. Logs are not linked to your identity.
  • Support requests. If you email us, we receive the information you include (name, email, message) so we can respond.

We do not maintain user accounts, cloud backups, health records, contact lists, or precise location data.

3. How we use information

  • Deliver on-device detection, OCR, and calculations.
  • Improve Cutly when you voluntarily send photos or feedback.
  • Reply to support requests.
  • Diagnose bugs when we receive anonymous crash data.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your information. We share data only when required by law or with service providers who help us manage support. They act on our instructions and must safeguard your information.

5. Data retention

Scans and manual entries stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Support emails are retained as long as needed to address your request or comply with legal obligations.

6. Your choices

  • Delete the app or its data to remove local information.
  • Decline to share photos or feedback.
  • Disable camera or photo permissions in iOS settings.

7. Children

Cutly is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can delete it.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or on this page with a revised effective date.
